Live-in or part-time help: choosing the right arrangement

Choose by workload
Part-time help can suit a defined block of cleaning, preparation or household tasks. Full-time help fits a longer regular day. Live-in describes accommodation, not unlimited working hours or automatic availability at night.
Make a realistic schedule
List daily, weekly and occasional tasks. Allow breaks and enough time to do each task properly. Explain whether children, older adults or pets are in the home; specialist care requires a separate discussion about experience and responsibilities.
Discuss living arrangements carefully
For a live-in role, discuss private sleeping space, meals, time off, visitors, personal privacy and emergency arrangements before either side commits. Never retain a worker’s identity documents or restrict their freedom to leave.
Record the agreement
Confirm compensation, working hours, rest days, overtime and notice directly with the worker. The platform does not set pay or provide employment agreements. Both sides remain responsible for following applicable requirements.
