Define the role before choosing a candidate
Write a normal day in your household: meals, school runs, cleaning, laundry or personal assistance. Separate must-have duties from occasional tasks. If one person is expected to cover several roles, explain the workload and hours so the team can discuss whether that combination is realistic.
Give the agency a workable brief
Include the city and general area, living arrangement, start date and budget. Say who will supervise the work and which languages are helpful. Staffly uses this information to discuss suitable experience and current availability. A broad request for someone who does everything usually needs more detail.
Assess the person for the actual job
Interview candidates about similar households and ask practical questions. A cook can discuss menus and hygiene; a driver can explain routes and vehicle experience. Ask which checks have been completed, and confirm licences or qualifications relevant to the role.
Agree the full cost and joining terms
For standard monthly placements, the one-time placement fee equals one agreed monthly salary, payable when you confirm a hire. Staff salary is separate. Six-month replacement cover is subject to the written terms. There is no recurring monthly agency commission.
Review the first days
Give a clear orientation, show equipment and agree priorities. Raise any mismatch with Staffly promptly. Keep a record of agreed duties so support and any replacement request can be considered against the original brief.
