The cantonment areas
Serving and retired forces families create demand you rarely see elsewhere in Pakistan, particularly for batman and personal orderly roles, alongside ordinary household staff.
What staff earn in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi generally sits at the lower end of the twin-cities range, with Bahria Town and DHA as the exception. As a guide, maids earn roughly Rs 25,000 to Rs 60,000 a month, drivers roughly Rs 35,000 to Rs 80,000, and cooks roughly Rs 35,000 to Rs 90,000, with live-in roles at the top of each band.
